When you are in the San Diego area, please come experience my art and meet me at my new gallery.  I create and share my art with you to celebrate the things we love. I am inspired by the smell, sound, energy, and healing presence of the ocean. To create an exceptional painting, I don’t just follow a technically trained formula. I have studied painting for 41 years.  Instead, I bring all of the physical experiences of the coastline- surfing, diving, being with friends and family, walking the shore- onto the canvas. I received my Bachelor of Fine Art from the University of Notre Dame, with a debut show at the Snite Museum of Art. In my sea life series, I hope you may pause and recall your own experiences looking through a dive mask or aquarium glass, reviving an appreciation for our aquatic treasure. Perhaps you will also inspire others to protect and preserve the ocean's dramatic and delicate beauty.

Resin paintings are composed with multiple layers of dyed resin pours and acrylic brush painting to echo the depth and movement of the ocean habitat. The resin pouring process suspends the action of the waves as it gradually hardens into a reflective water-like surface. I hope you always feel welcome to touch and move around the artwork as you peer past the reflective initial surface of the ocean.
